THE RESEARCH DESK / US EQUITIES
Think in evidence.
No live quotes. No model calls. A notebook for your own research.
A thesis is a question
worth investigating.
Create a research memo. Document what you believe, the strongest counterargument, and the sources you still need.
HYPOTHETICAL EARNINGS × MULTIPLE
Change the assumptions.
See what changes.
Illustrative inputs, not company data or price targets. This simplified model is for positive earnings; it is not a discounted cash flow model or an investment recommendation.

Read the method and limitations
Ending EPS = starting annual EPS × (1 + growth rate)years. Implied value = ending EPS × ending P/E. Annualized price change = (implied value ÷ comparison price)1/years − 1. Rates exclude dividends, taxes, fees, inflation, and changing share counts beyond their possible effect on EPS. Growth and multiples are user assumptions, not probabilities. Scenario names do not imply ordered outcomes; changing inputs may reverse them. Not suitable for negative earnings.
A TEMPLATE, NOT A MODEL RESPONSE

harder to answer badly.
Build a brief from the selected memo’s saved notes. Nothing is sent to an AI provider automatically. Save edits in the memo first, then review the brief before sharing it.
